Setting Up A Rowing League For Competition In Ireland

As rowing has become such a popular sport in Ireland, due to the tradition and history, and the great rowers who have come from Ireland, many amateurs are looking to set up their own teams, in order to be able to compete professionally, and try to qualify for national events, including making the Olympic teams. So, to set up a team, and to ensure that you will be able to compete, there are several steps individuals must take before forming a team to compete professionally. The sport requires stamina, endurance, and extreme physical strength, which many other sports do not call for. For this reason, all members must be willing to put in the time and effort, to get the training required.

Once a group is formed, they must also learn to row together. It is one thing for each member to be great on their own, but to compete professionally, they are going to have to learn to work as a team unit. So, when preparing, it will take at a minimum of 6 to 8 months to start working well together, and at least 1 year’s time, to be able to win and compete at a national level.
