The Best Rowing Spots In Ireland For Beginners

Ireland is known for one of the top rowing countries in the world. If you looking for a great place to begin your rowing career, then head to Ireland. Some great locations to start are the National Rowing Center in Cork City Center. The center is located off the River Lee North and South which provides a good area for beginners to begin learning their rowing skills. In addition, there are developmental camps at the Rowing Center that will teach you the basics of rowing. Another location for beginning rowing is the Erne Rowing Tour, which will row through Enniskillen to the Lower Lake and back to Enniskillen. This is a 15 mile route and provides beautiful scenery along the route. The other location for beginner is at Lough Derg, where you can row from there and pass through the gorgeous area of Ardnacrusha Lock to Limerick, where you will stay overnight. The next day, the rowing will begin at the tidal section of the Shannon between Limerick and Bunratty, and then continue down through the lower part of Shannon. Both of these rowing areas do require a reservation and deposit to secure you spot, but they are perfect spot for beginning rowing.
